My dearest one,
ReplyDeleteI missed blogland yesterday because I WOKE UP LATE!!!!!!
OK, this is wonderful....this is a feast of beauty that I cannot believe I have never seen. THEY ARE ALL WONDERFUL, but I have to say that the aqua blue MONET is my favorite. You are unbelievably talented in so many ways, but your ability to FIND just the right sources is exceptional....thank you for this LIFT before spring break happens!!!!!
HUGS HUGS HUGS! Anita
Irina,
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful post! here are so many of my favorites in here :) I hope you are enjoying your lovely March weather, it is upposed to be in the 80's here this weekend...which we will enjoy immensely before our real heat starts!
We also enjoyed the Muppets, it was so cute! Did you see Tin Tin? Loved it...
You are SO sweet to think of me for your 11 questions! I am terribly sorry but I won't be able to do it right now...Trying to finish up this year of homeschooling (argh!off to private schools they go again next year), and my business is swamped at the moment...which is why my blogging has been scarce lately...long story short but I am up to my ears...
I always love when you come by and your wonderful posts and comments...I long for the summer when I shall have more time!
Have a wonderful day,
Nathalie
My dear heart,
ReplyDeleteSeeing you on my comments page along with my sweet Penny and other fine souls was just a dash of FUN today! AND YES, this aqua Monet is my all-time favorite. I love all his work that I have ever seen, but this one is just perfect for me now...refreshing, NEW and hopeful.
I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU!!!! Anita
Dearest Irina...I just love Impressionism, just beautiful...I remember going to an exhibition and seeing some Claude Monet 'for real'...it brought tears to my eyes...Wishing you a beautiful Thursday from the coast...Dzintra xoxo
ReplyDeleteirina, how lovely. the second scene is my absolute favorite. that, and the lovely french table on the porch. beauty is such a gift.
ReplyDeletethank you for your sweet response at whimsy. i'm glad we share sea dreams! i also have minnesota dreams, of the quetico-superior and of listening point, because beloved sigurd olson is my all-time favorite naturalist. his writings have taken him deep into my heart. have you ever been to his cabin?
blessings for a beautiful weekend,
ann
irina, i'm so glad you're investigating sigurd olson! the first time i stumbled across one of his stories in a wwf christmas collection, the one about him running with a wolf pack, i couldn't even believe the caliber of his writing and experience.
ReplyDeletei've not yet been to the boundary waters. the furthest north i've been in minnesota (have been to canada by other routes) was a week i spent at a friend's cabin near squaw lake, mn. it was unforgettable. we rode snowmobiles into the nearest town and had buffalo burgers, and did many other wonderful things. when we weren't on snowmobiles, which was most of the time, the quiet of the forest and the lake were unearthly and gloriously wild.
hope you enjoy reading mr. olson. runes of the north is calling me now that we've talked about him.
blessings,
ann
The Monet....ahhhhh...one on my absolute favorites. What gorgeous works of art you've displayed!
ReplyDeleteMakes me feel the urge to visit an art museum with my children again...Now that the weather is so beautiful it's the perfect outing. Thanks for sharing. SO beautiful!
Happy Spring to you, my friend! xo
p.s. Sigurd Olson' birthday is Wednesday. (I celebrate birthdays of all the great influences in my life.) Hope you can indulge in his musings by then. Have a GREAT week! You're a blessing. Ann
ReplyDeleteOh, Irina, we certainly have the same taste in artists!!! These are all so beautiful, and all represent paintings I would love to own. I think you probably feel the same way, n'est-ce pas? As you know, I was an Art teacher and Art History was my favorite class to teach [ well, they ALL were, really! I LOVED teaching!]. The town library always saved all the Art and Antiques magazines for me and gave them to me at the end of every year. It was through the ads and articles there that I learned about these lesser known Impressionists, and as I told you before, I have a big folder of pages ripped from those mags. And back in the '80s , when we lived in Maine, I discovered this painting of Celia Thaxton, in her garden , which will always be my favorite Hassam http://www.tfaoi.com/am/16am/16am192.jpg

This needs to be taken in slowly. Be right back with my coffee and earplugs.
ReplyDeleteThe paintings are all stunning, but the lady in hues of blue and gold by Miller is just unbelievable. I do not know how artists can paint like this, it always amazes and humbles me in my puny efforts.
ReplyDeleteGood morning my special and most darling friend,
ReplyDeleteTHAT IS AMAZING that you are reading a book about MAKING CHOICES! Oh how significant this theme is to me at the moment. May this month of LIFE celebration be very special to you, my dear and beautiful flower in my garden of WONDERFUL FRIENDS! LIVE ON, LIVE LARGE!!!!!! Anita
beautiful paintings!
ReplyDeletedear irina,
ReplyDeletewishing you a wonderful, joyous, utterly spring-filled easter!

ReplyDeleteHello dear friend,
ReplyDeleteI love this! Every painting is more beautiful than the next!
I hope that you had a wonderful Easter, did you have your dad and your sister over?
I had a nice relaxing weekend. This week I have a friend visiting who I am quite sure that both Anita and yourself would love. She is an artist, and she is so talented and also a teacher.
Thank you so very much for your visit! I hope you have a fabulous week!!!
Elizabeth xo
Thank you, dear Irina, for your very sweet visit, and lovely words! I just had to come to this blog again to see these ever so beautiful paintings. Just looking at them I get those tiny glimpses of DejaVu as to how it must have felt to live and paint back then. Wouldn't you just love it? And your music really helps set the mood... I usually don'r listen to music on blogs, as it eats my precious bandwidth, but, this Debussy is so delicious!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing all this BEAUTY!!!!!
luv,
dawne
Dear Irina
ReplyDeleteA feast for the eyes... I love Renoir and Monet. Makes me want to pick up my paint brushes again... They are all such an inspiration.
Thank you so much for visiting and leaving such a sweet note about Coco. So sorry it took me so long to get back to you.. Have been creating and lost track of time.
Enjoy your week my friend
Blessings,
Penny
Okay, I couldn't resist stopping by today. Just left my bloggy neighbor's page, Laura from Fun with This and That, and I love to visit her page on a daily basis because she has a widget at the bottom of her page that gives visitors one Italian word per day. ;) Today's word was "uovo." Yep, egg. hahahaha Need I say more? hahaha
ReplyDeleteLOVE YOU, MY FRIEND. And we were safe from Tropical Storm, Debby, thank you for your concern. We're in South Florida, she was making a ruckus a little further north, but we still had plenty of rain and wind. Even after all these years, I'm still amazed to see how much area it affects although it's far away. I've survived two crazy hurricanes (Andrew and Katrina), not too scared of those. Tornadoes; however, are a different matter. Those are too much for me. Anywho, thank you for asking, love.
MUAH!
